Coast to Cloud Forest, Monteverde, Arenal and the Pacific, Costa Rica
Cloud Forest, Volcano and Pacific
Eight days, three habitats, and a lot of things that only come out at night.
- 8 days · 7 nights
- 2–12 travellers
- Easy
- Wildlife
- Coast and islands
Monteverde's canopy, Arenal's hot springs and lava fields, and Manuel Antonio where the forest runs down to the beach.
Costa Rica packs an unreasonable amount of life into a country the size of Denmark, and the way to see it is to change altitude rather than to cover distance. We move three times in eight days and walk every one of them. Guides here are the difference between a green wall and a morning of sloths, motmots and eyelash vipers. Ours carry scopes, and the night walk in Monteverde is the one nobody expects to be the highlight.
Day by day
